Isaiah
59:7-8
On a recent trip to the Pentagon and
to Washington D.C. there was one ting I saw that everyone seemed
to have in common. Everyone was in a hurry!! Even when there was
no time pressure to get somewhere, everyone walked at a brisk
clip. In contrast, a couple of nights before the trip, I stood
at the end of our driveway staring into one of the clearest
starlit nights I can remember. The moment was so peaceful and
majestic. Looking into the heavens one could marvel that God
must have a real purpose for us to give us such a beautiful
universe. How awful it would be to waste it rushing from one
place to another, head down, oblivious to the wonders God has
created.
We can rush into sin or we can let
God’s light shine from the heavens and show us the path.
Dear Father, We marvel at your
universe yet so often pass by without experiencing the beauty.
Lift our heads to the heavens to bathe in your glory. Keep our
feet from rushing into sin so that we might see the righteous
path. Amen
